RISINGSTARS’ CENTRAL LUZON LIVE COMPETITION ROUND

RISINGSTARS PHILIPPINES, THE COUNTRY’S NEWEST AND BIGGEST TALENT COMPETITION, IS GOING ALL AROUND THE PHILIPPINES TO REACH OUT THE ENTIRE NATION IN SEARCHING FOR NEW RISING STARS.

RisingStars Philippines and Kapatid Network TV5, have joined forces to launch a new singing and reality TV talent search that would embark on a nationwide search for the best-of-the-best singing talents all over the Philippines to represent their home city or province. 

RisingStars held auditions in Central Luzon (Dagupan, Lingayan-Pangasinan and Pampanga) in November and December this year to look for the cities’ very talented singers. The best contestants were given a chance to appear for a live interview and live singing performance in front of the Panel of Judges. Based on the interviews and live auditions, the number of contestants was narrowed down to 7 in each area by the Judges.

 

These fourteen (14) singers – 7 from Pampanga and 7 from Dagupan, Lingayan-Pangasinan - will have their chance to prove their talents live, on-stage on

Wednesday, the 17^th of December at 3pm in SM CITY CLARK Pampanga

 The mall show live final competition will be composed of two rounds: the first round is the “I can sing it better – Challenge Round” and the second round is the “Solo and Final Round”. The same set of judge will be present and of course the supporters – family members, friends - of the contestants.

One day before the live finals, the top 14 contestants will be divided into seven (7) groups to which two contestants will be paired to sing the same song. So on the “I can sing it better – Challenge Round” of the live finals, two contestants will battle head-to-head on-stage to prove that they can really sing the song better than the other. Even though the contestants are singing in pairs, they are judged individually on their performance based on a set of criteria of judging.

 

At the end of the “I can sing it better – Challenge Round”, only the top 5 will advance to the Solo and Final Round. In the second round, each contestant will perform the song of their choice. The top 2 winners of this live competition will get an all-expense paid trip to Manila for the much-coveted opportunity to be part of the nationwide competition and be seen on primetime TV during the live sing-offs and telecast of the RisingStars Singing Contest to be aired starting February 2015 on the Kapatid Network TV5.

BACKGROUND:

RISINGSTARS PHILIPPINES, THE COUNTRY’S NEWEST AND BIGGEST TALENT COMPETITION IS GOING ALL AROUND THE PHILIPPINES TO REACH OUT THE ENTIRE NATION IN SEARCHING FOR NEW RISING STARS.

RisingStars Philippines is a televised singing talent competition that will air nationwide on the TV5 network during evening primetime starting February 2015. To select TV show contestants, a series of Regional Contests are to be held in different provinces and cities to find the best-of-the-best talents to represent their home city or province. 

The competition has been launched at the beginning of October in Dumaguete and this year the RisingStars team has already visited Palawan, General Santos, Davao, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and the cities of Central Luzon as Dagupan, Lingayan-Pangasinan and Pampanga.   

Contestants (amateur and professional singers, 13 years old and above) may audition by recording their entries online - using a laptop, PC, or android phones - or at the RisingStars Recording Booth, which is akin a modern recording studio facility.   The Recording Booth is available in the most frequented visited Malls during the audition period.  And simultaneously, there’s going to be a RisingStars singing station in selected schools and barangays where interested participants can also come & audition.

RisingStars has made the audition process easy and hassle free by avoiding long lines and hours of travel through the availability of the RisingStars Mobile Application for Android phones.  Yes, one can record and submit their entry using their mobile smartphone by downloading the RisingStars mobile karaoke app for free from Google playstore.  Another convenient way to join is by logging on to the RisingStars website at www.risingstars.ph to record and submit an entry through the use of desktop or laptop computers.
