Good news! Passengers of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) will be treated to free rides as part of the celebration of the country's 114th Independence Day, a television report said Monday.
The report was aired over at GMA News TV's "News TV Live". LRTA-MRT3 spokesperson Atty. Hernando Cabrera said that the MRT and LRT will be offering free rides on June 12, 2012
- from 7:00am to 9:00am
- and 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
Meanwhile, other government agencies will be setting up a one-stop shop for two (2) days in Luneta Park or Rizal Park in celebration of Independence Day. Filipino citizens can request documents from the Bureau of Internal Revenue, National Statistics Office, and National Bureau of Investigation.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Government Service Insurance System will also have booths where people can inquire about their concerns. The Philippine National Police will also put up a recruitment booth. Metro Manila Development Authority chairman Francis Tolentino said the one-stop will last for two days.
